Weaving Worlds: Raranga, whakapapa, and mana wahine
thesis
posted on 2022-01-24, 20:07 authored by Selena ShawThe focus of this project is to explore female Indigenous design knowledge in the context of raranga harakeke, or flax weaving, and I situate this rangahau and kōrero in the experiences of my own whānau of weavers. There is the voice of my own experience and mastery, and there are the voices of my tīpuna who continue to guide and, at times, lead my understandings.
