This online webinar, hosted by Family For Every Child and the Child Rights Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand, was part of a panel discussion titled 'Strengthening Kinship Care and Whanau Care in Aotearoa New Zealand'. My presentation examined the potential and pitfalls to rights-based approaches to kinship care, especially from a kaupapa Māori perspective, and with particular reference to te Tiriti o Waitangi and the right of tino rangatiratanga over kainga. My co-panelists were Dr Braden Clark and Dr Kerri Cleaver.
